Korean reinvents paintings by revered European artists, displayed in various art institutions, and replaces the western objects/people/places with East Asian imagery from the Artist’s own Korean and Korean-American culture. The paintings include the same ornate frames gracing the edges of the original paintings as a way to celebrate Korean culture in the same way the European everyday is celebrated in 19th and 20th Century European Art.

"Still Life with Asian Pears and Peaches" inspired by "Still Life with Apples and Pears" (1891-92), by Paul Cézanne, currently hanging in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
"Dish of Persimmons and Peaches" inspired by "Dish of Apples" (1876-77), by Paul Cézanne, currently hanging in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
"Miniature of a Soldier" inspired by "Miniature of Lord Byron" (19th Century), currently hanging in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
"Seoul Niece and Aunt" inspired by "Breton Brother and Sister" (1871), by William Bouguereau, currently hanging in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
